Bourdon biologique Mountain Gems

Perfect roast level for Moka Pot.
No acidic aftertaste. Perfectly balanced!

After really enjoying the Hummingbird which is the other medium roast Mountain Gem blend, we thought we’d give Bumblebee a go. Flavour isn’t quite as robust and there is a little more acidity. Kind of unremarkable unfortunately.

Tried as both a pour over and espresso. Medium and fine grinds.

It’s possible the bag we received wasn’t particularly fresh, with an expiry date of 6 weeks after it arrived. The other Mountain Gems we’ve purchased have had better dates.

This was our first purchase of a non-flavoured been. I'm happy to say the mild taste and low acidity made this a pleasure to drink. Will buy again.

Love this smooth blonde blend of coffee not bitter and tastes great.

I am not a huge fan of dark roasts and coffee that is overly bitter and taste burnt. This coffee bean is actually super good . It's mellow, light and love the cherry after taste.

Highly recommend as a moka pot or espresso. Very bright with good acidity.

I for 4 stars and my wife for. To e it is a bit acidy.

Despite being a light roast this coffee is very rich, bold, and smooth. It is well-balanced and low in acidity, and doesn’t have the sour/fruity taste that some light roasts have. My husband who isn’t fond of light roasts likes it.

We tried it as espresso initially and made lattes and Americanos. It worked better as an Americano as we found the flavour got lost in the milk of the latte. We will try it as a pourover next. I would buy it again.

This is a delicious coffee. I think it is one of the best in the organic fair trade collection. Very underrated!
